Japanese artist Masaharu Fukuyama announced his 13th original album, ‘Choushinsei’ (Supernova), in late August 2026. The release marked his first original album in over five years and included new tracks such as ‘SUPERNOVA’ and ‘Ushukubeha’. 

Following its release on September 9, the album debuted at number one on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking for the week ending September 13, 2026. Selling 113,000 copies in its first week, the achievement set a new record for the most number-one albums by a solo male artist.
