Following a fatal stabbing incident at a cinema in the Seyedi district of Mashhad, an indictment has been issued and the case referred to the first criminal court. 

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of January 3, 2024, originated from a dispute between two brothers and a young couple inside a cinema hall. After a physical altercation, the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Yaser, pursued the brothers in a vehicle and attacked them with a knife. The attack resulted in the death of an individual named Arif and injuries to another named Shoaib. 

After a five-month manhunt, the suspect was apprehended by detectives while attempting to leave the country. Following a crime scene reconstruction and investigations supervised by Judge Sadegh Safari, the prosecutor’s office finalized the indictment.
