Japanese actor Mackenyu has been cast as the lead character, Mash Burnedead, in a live-action film adaptation of the manga series “Mashle: Magic and Muscles” by Hajime Komoto. The project is directed by Yuichi Fukuda and involves a collaboration between Warner Bros. Pictures, Fuji Television, and Toho.

To prepare for the role, Mackenyu reportedly spent three years undergoing intensive physical training to achieve the physique required for a character who relies on muscular strength in a magic-dominated world. The film is scheduled for release in Japanese theaters on March 19, 2027.
