Mason Greenwood has become a significant offensive contributor for the Turkish club Fenerbahçe, performing in both the Süper Lig and the UEFA Champions League.

Initially, Greenwood recorded 10 goal contributions in 13 matches, demonstrating high efficiency and versatility. During this period, reports noted a lack of coverage from English media regarding his success in Turkey.

By October, Greenwood transitioned into a new tactical role as a number 10 under manager İsmail Kartal. In a Champions League group stage match against Slavia Prague, he scored in the 11th minute, bringing his total for the club to 7 goals and 4 assists across 17 appearances.

Following a subsequent 2-2 draw against Slavia Prague in the third week of the Champions League, Fenerbahçe supporters called for the resignation of manager İsmail Kartal after the team conceded a 90th-minute equalizer. Despite taking an early 2-0 lead through goals from Oğuz Aydın and Greenwood, the late equalizer caused significant frustration among fans.

Kartal responded to the pressure by stating, “In football, these things happen. We wish it hadn't happened, but it did. We will look ahead.” He emphasized that the team would focus on an upcoming derby against Galatasaray to reconcile with the supporters. Regarding squad updates, Kartal noted that Nathan Ake left the match with a hamstring strain and would undergo an MRI, and explained that Kerem Aktürkoğlu was substituted for Oğuz Aydın to provide defensive support due to fatigue. Commentator Rıdvan Dilmen also criticized the team's physical conditioning relative to European standards and raised concerns regarding Marco Asensio's fitness.
