The 2026 MassKara Festival in Bacolod City, Philippines, began with a 10-day program of cultural, musical, and pageant events intended to symbolize community resilience. Early festivities included the MassKareyna Philippines pageant costume competition and the ‘Hataw MassKara!’ opening concert.

As the festival progressed, digital service providers integrated technology into the celebrations. Globe introduced 5G-powered activities, including AI-assisted mural projects, dance challenges, and musical festivals. Simultaneously, GCash implemented digital payment promotions and merchant deals to facilitate transactions during the ‘MassKara Crawl’ across Lacson Street and the Public Plaza.

Corporate involvement expanded through various sponsorships. Casino Plus served as an official presenter, featuring a 21-foot emerald-and-gold electric float during the parade, which included social media personality Zeinab Harake Parks and Miss Casino Plus Bacolod Daniella Louisse Merelos.

Globe’s technological integration included the ‘5G HyperMove’ running challenge, the ‘5G Building Craft’ mural art project utilizing Gemini AI, and the ‘5G EnergyTok’ TikTok dance challenge. Musical programming featured the G Music Fest, headlined by December Avenue alongside local student bands. Additionally, Globe conducted digital literacy programs and provided 5G-enabled devices to Bacolod City National High School.
