Preparations for the 47th MassKara Festival in Bacolod City have transitioned into active celebrations. Under the theme ‘Share the Smile. Celebrate Gugma,’ the festival is currently highlighting the resilience and community spirit of the Bacolodnon people.

As part of the ongoing festivities, a Mask and Costume Display is being held at Robinsons Bacolod. This exhibition features eight barangay contingents—Bata, Alangilan, 10, Handumanan, 13, 6, Taculing, and Mandalagan—showcasing the craftsmanship and artistic designs behind the festival’s iconic smiling masks and vibrant costumes.

Economic activity remains a central component of the event, with increased commerce reported among small business owners, pop-up food kiosks, and culinary institutions. Major celebrations continue to be centered around the Bacolod City Government Center, the Public Plaza, and the Lacson Tourism Strip.
