A court in Mato Grosso do Sul has ordered that the trial for Willian Rafael Rodrigues Gauto be moved from Sete Quedas to the Comarca of Dourados. 

The decision, known as ‘desaforamento’, was granted following a request by the Public Ministry of Mato Grosso do Sul. Prosecutors and local judges argued that the community in Sete Quedas might lack impartiality due to the high profile of the case, local fear, and the perceived danger of the accused. 

Gauto is facing charges related to two attempted homicides involving gunfire that took place in December 2025.
