The Interinstitutional Asset Recovery Committee of Mato Grosso (Cira-MT) recovered over R$ 4.5 million for state public funds following the full payment of tax debts by a rural producer. This taxpayer was investigated under ‘Operation Ultimatum’ for using invalid invoices to conceal commercial operations and avoid Goods and Services Tax (ICMS). 

The lump-sum payment of R$ 4,510,252.54, which included associated fines, was ratified by the Mato Grosso State Department of Finance (Sefaz-MT). This recovery contributes to the more than R$ 31.8 million recovered by Operation Ultimatum for the state between 2021 and 2024.
