Mattel has released a new Barbie Signature doll to honor tennis champion Serena Williams and her 2005 Australian Open victory. The collectible recreates the lime green and white outfit worn during her seventh Grand Slam singles title win, including accessories such as a tennis racket and ball.

This release, which coincides with International Day of the Girl, is intended to inspire young athletes. Williams noted that the doll serves as a message for girls to pursue large goals, reflecting on the lack of representation she experienced growing up.

As part of the launch, Mattel is making a donation to Mrs. Rina’s House of Blessings through the Barbie Dream Gap Project. This nonprofit provides educational and leadership training programs for children and families in Martin County, Florida.
