# Maule Region agricultural and technological development

In the Maule region of Chile, technical training initiatives have been launched to address regional challenges through science and resource management.

Initially, technical advisors underwent training focused on soil and integrated water management. Funded by the Fundación para la Innovación Agraria and coordinated by the SEREMI of Agriculture and INDAP Maule, the program aimed to assist small-scale farmers facing climate change. Originally a pilot in the Curicó province following floods in the Mataquito basin, the program expanded to the Talca province.

Subsequently, the region launched a training cycle to support the implementation of the Regional Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation (CTCi) Strategy for 2026–2036. Funded by the Maule Regional Government, this program provides technical teams with tools to integrate innovation into public investment decisions and improve institutional coordination.
