MC Oran began the season with a 0-0 draw against ES Sétif during the fourth matchday of the Ligue 1 Mobilis. Despite maintaining possession at home, the team was unable to score, leading coach Tahar Chérif El Ouazzani to express regret over the end of their winning streak while noting the quality of play was an improvement.

By late October, MC Oran rose to the top of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 standings with 14 points from six matches. The team maintained a perfect defensive record with no goals conceded.
