Actress Mckenna Grace has participated in several promotional events for the upcoming prequel film, ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’. 

On October 6, Grace attended the opening of the ‘Elegance Is Authority: The Story, Style, and Power of Panem’ exhibition at the Musée Rodin in Paris. To honor the franchise, she wore a recreation of the Katniss Everdeen wedding dress from ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’. The Monique Lhuillier gown featured a white tiered tulle skirt and a bodice with silver appliqués designed to “evoke wings.” Grace was accompanied by co-star Joseph Zada.

Following the Paris event, Grace appeared at a photocall in Sydney, Australia, wearing a pale pink House of Gilles gown featuring asymmetrical pleating and floral appliqués. Styled by Molly Dickson, the look included pink flower hair ornaments and Anabela Chan floral earrings.

Grace has utilized “method dressing” under the guidance of stylist Molly Dickson to incorporate references to the franchise's history into her wardrobe. During an appearance on the ‘Today’ show, she wore an aquamarine dress with puffed sleeves and archival Betsey Johnson heels to nod to the character Rue. Other press appearances included wearing an archival lime-green Betsey Johnson micro minidress from the Spring/Summer 2008 collection. 

During recent promotional appearances in New York City, Grace continued this trend by wearing a black Versace Pre-Fall 2023 dress featuring white polka dots, butterflies, and ladybug motifs, paired with ladybug hair accessories, which is viewed as a nod to her role as Maysilee Donner. She has also showcased whimsical footwear, including floral Briar slingback pumps paired with an archival Betsey Johnson mini dress, and pink Aquazzura sandals with a floral-embroidered Là Fuori midi dress.
