Public transportation services in Medellín, Colombia, have transitioned from addressing technical disruptions to implementing special schedules for major events.

Following a six-hour disruption on Metro de Medellín’s Line A caused by an immobilized maintenance vehicle, services returned to normal after specialists towed the machinery.

Later, the Metro de Medellín announced extended operating hours for October 11 and 12 to accommodate attendees of the Electric Daisy Carnival and the Festival Internacional Altavoz. During these dates, service on Lines A and B will extend until 11:30 p.m., with restricted passenger access at specific stations during late-night hours. Early openings are also scheduled for 3:30 a.m. at the Estadio station.
