A memorial service was held on September 3, 2026, at the Holy Church of Saint George in Pyrgos Keriou to honor the late Metropolitan Anthimos Siskos of Nubia. 

Metropolitan Timotheos of Thessaly and Fanariotals led the service at the gravesite of Siskos (1890–1958), an academic and ecclesiastical figure who served as the Secretary of the Holy Synod in Alexandria and was ordained Metropolitan of Nubia in 1940. Siskos also served as a Professor of Pastoral and Canon Law at the Theological School of Thessaloniki.
