Austrian darts professional Mensur Suljović is under investigation by the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) following allegations of unsportsmanlike conduct during the Swiss Darts Trophy in Basel.

During a match against Ross Smith, Suljović was accused of inciting the crowd to boo Smith while he was throwing match darts. Following the 6-5 victory, Suljović faced further backlash for on-stage comments regarding Smith’s complaints, specifically stating, “Women complain, sorry. You don't do that.”

Suljović issued an apology, admitting his remarks about women were “completely inappropriate” and that he was “really caught up in the emotion of the moment.” While Smith criticized Suljović’s behavior on social media, fellow professional Vincent van der Voort also condemned the conduct, arguing that Suljović deliberately crossed a line by stirring up the audience. Despite the controversy, Suljović progressed through the tournament to the semi-finals.
