Rubén Moreira Valdez, the PRI parliamentary coordinator, has advocated for a plural legislative process regarding a presidential initiative for the General Law to Prevent, Investigate, Sanction, and Repair Damage Caused by the Crime of Feminicide.

Moreira requested that the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo) conduct analysis through joint conference work between both chambers of Congress. He noted that the project requires a “technically solid analysis” involving specialists, civil organizations, victims' families, prosecutors, academics, and legislators from all 32 entities due to its national scope.
