Data from the 2026 Self-Reported Well-being Module (BIARE), published by Mexico’s National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), indicates an upward trend in life satisfaction. The average score rose to 8.75 out of 10, compared to 8.65 in 2025.

Adolescents aged 12 to 17 reported the highest satisfaction levels with an average score of 9.39, while those aged 75 and older reported the lowest at 8.38. Men recorded an average satisfaction of 8.83, while women averaged 8.68.

Among the 13 aspects of daily life evaluated, the ‘freedom to make decisions about one’s own life’ received the highest rating (9.18), followed by family relationships (9.04). Public safety was the lowest-rated aspect, scoring 6.44.
