The Mexican Red Cross held the seventh edition of its national charity race, ‘Todo México Salvando Vidas’, on Sunday, September 6. The event took place simultaneously across 32 Mexican states at 40 different locations, with national participation exceeding 50,000 runners.

In Mexico City, approximately 5,300 runners gathered at the Estela de Luz on Paseo de la Reforma. In Los Cabos, authorities supported the race while temporarily closing emergency shelters to monitor weather conditions.

Registration fees serve as donations to strengthen the operational capacity of Red Cross delegations. According to medical director Héctor Carreto Díaz, the funds are designated to maintain emergency services, improve facilities, and support the acquisition of ambulances. Specifically, the proceeds are intended for equipping ambulances, training 4,000 first responders, and establishing a vehicle fund for remote communities. The initiative also aims to promote healthy lifestyle habits and social integration.
