In September, authorities rescued two Bengal tigers—a two-year-old female and an eight-month-old male—in Coalcomán, Michoacán. The tigers were found in makeshift enclosures and exhibited signs of dehydration, obesity, and repetitive behaviors. This operation involved coordination with the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), the National Guard, and the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar). The tigers were moved to a management unit in Morelia for medical care. In a subsequent operation in Múgica, the State Attorney General's Office rescued an adult male spider monkey from a residence in Nueva Italia.
