The Mexico City Metro (STC) announced a partial closure of Line 12 scheduled from September 12 to September 16, 2026. The maintenance aims to perform corrective works on fixed installations, specifically replacing a track switch between Periférico Oriente and Calle 11 that reached the end of its useful life. 

Additional work includes replacing 140 wooden sleepers with concrete structures, adding 300 cubic meters of ballast, and rectifying 600 linear meters of track profile. During this period, service will be limited to the section between Mixcoac and San Andrés Tomatlán, while the segment between Tláhuac and Lomas Estrella will remain closed, affecting nine stations. The Red de Transporte de Pasajeros (RTP) will provide alternative transportation to assist commuters until normal service resumes on September 17.
