The Mexican government has initiated the construction of ‘México Imparable’ community centers as part of a national strategy to prevent violence by addressing its root causes through youth development.

In Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, officials inaugurated the first center in the Palmas 3 neighborhood. This facility is designed to serve over a thousand children and young people daily, offering sports facilities, artistic spaces, and mental health counseling. The project is a public-policy initiative of President Claudia Sheinbaum and is one of 100 intended centers across the country.

Following this, the municipality of Chimalhuacán was announced as a site for a new center at the Deportivo Don Bosco. This location will involve an investment of 10 million pesos and is part of a broader network of centers being established from Tijuana to the Yucatán Peninsula to provide free, equipped spaces for young people.
