Mexican authorities have conducted several operations to detain individuals wanted by the United States for various criminal activities.

In Jalisco, police arrested a 36-year-old American citizen, Miguel C., in Zapopan. The suspect, allegedly linked to organized crime, faced warrants in San Diego for homicide, attempted homicide, and federal drug offenses. The arrest involved coordinated ground and aerial surveillance by Jalisco police and the U.S. Marshals Service. The individual was transferred to the National Institute of Migration to facilitate extradition.

Subsequent operations in Yucatán and Chihuahua resulted in the detention of two more individuals. In Ojinaga, security forces captured Sergio “N”, a regional leader for the La Línea organization, who is accused of drug trafficking and human smuggling. These operations were supported by intelligence sharing with U.S. agencies.

In Mérida, Yucatán, federal authorities arrested 68-year-old U.S. citizen Richard Panas. Panas is considered a priority target by the United States and faces four active arrest warrants in Florida. The operation involved the Mexican Navy, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, the Attorney General's Office, and the National Institute of Migration. Panas is allegedly linked to a criminal cell involved in fraud and identity theft. Because he could not provide documentation proving legal residency in Mexico, he was transferred to migration facilities to coordinate potential deportation or extradition.
