British defense firm MGI Engineering has introduced two distinct unmanned aerial systems. In July 2026, the company announced the T-022 Vortex, an autonomous collaborative platform designed for the United Kingdom’s StormFighter programme. The T-022 Vortex is an 11-metre aircraft capable of speeds exceeding Mach 0.85 and a range over 4,000 km. It is intended to operate as a “loyal wing” alongside crewed fighters like the Eurofighter Typhoon to perform strike, surveillance, and electronic warfare tasks.

Following this, in August 2026, MGI unveiled the TigerShark, a low-cost, single-use strike drone. Unlike the larger Vortex, the TigerShark is designed to function as an intermediate-range cruise missile, carrying a 300-kilogram payload over a 900-kilometer range at speeds of 750 km/h. The system utilizes inertial navigation to operate in GPS-denied environments and is launched from ground vehicles using rocket-assisted propulsion.
