The Miami University RedHawks football team secured consecutive close victories in late September and early October 2026.

On September 26, Miami (Ohio) overcame an early 14-point deficit to defeat UConn 24-21. Quarterback David McComb contributed 312 passing yards and three total touchdowns before leaving the game with an injury in the fourth quarter. Brady Stidham secured the win with a field goal in the final two minutes.

On October 10, the RedHawks defeated UMass 20-19, bringing their record to 3-3. Despite a late touchdown pass from UMass freshman quarterback Logan Inagawa that left one second on the clock, Miami prevented a walk-off victory by stopping a two-point conversion attempt.
