Designed by Deborah Landis (also referred to as Deborah Nadulman Latis), the jacket is estimated to potentially sell for upwards of $10 million. This specific jacket is the version worn by Jackson in scenes without zombie makeup and contains personal inscriptions to designers Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush. It previously sold in 2011 for $1.81 million. Other items slated for auction include the sequined glove from the 1983 ‘Moonwalk’ performance, estimated at up to $800,000, and two pairs of black leather shoes. The shoes used for the ‘moonwalk’ are estimated to be valued between $60,000 and $80,000. Before the Abu Dhabi auction, these items are scheduled for a global exhibition tour including stops in the United States, Japan, and Bahrain. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-10: Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ jacket to be auctioned in Abu Dhabi Michael Jackson’s legendary ‘Thriller’ leather jacket is heading to auction in Abu Dhabi, with an estimated value exceeding $10 million. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/michael-jacksons-thriller-jacket-to-be-auctioned-in-abu-dhabi-1 ### 2026-10-08: Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' jacket to be auctioned in Abu Dhabi Michael Jackson's iconic ‘Thriller’ jacket and other memorabilia, including his famous sequined glove, are set to be auctioned in Abu Dhabi this December, with the jacket estimated to exceed $10 million. 20 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/michael-jacksons-thriller-jacket-to-be-auctioned-in-abu-dhabi --- Cite as: Michael Jackson memorabilia auction in Abu Dhabi.
