Former footballer Michiel Kramer has released a biography detailing various anecdotes from his professional career. In the book and subsequent interviews, Kramer reflects on his tenure at Feyenoord, including a confrontation with technical director Martin van Geel following a match suspension for refusing to participate in post-match training exercises.

Kramer also recounted a verbal exchange with journalist Valentijn Driessen at a football gala. Additionally, he revealed details regarding a 2017 incident known as ‘kroketgate’, where he was fined 1,000 euros by Martin van Geel for eating a ‘broodje kroket’ (croquette sandwich) on the substitute bench during a cup match against Heracles Almelo. Kramer has questioned the consistency of professional standards regarding this fine compared to the tolerated use of nicotine pouches in locker rooms.
