Composer Mick Gordon has indicated a potential return to the Doom franchise, stating he would do so ‘within a heartbeat’ if the necessary conditions are met. While he noted that ‘hundreds of dominoes would have to fall into place’ for a professional return, he expressed that he still possesses creative ideas for the series following a 2022 dispute with id Software.

In addition to these comments, Gordon announced plans for live performances of the Doom and Doom Eternal soundtracks. These shows will feature Gordon accompanied by a band and a live orchestra. Confirmed appearances for 2027 include the RADAR festival in the United Kingdom and the Brutal Assault Festival in the Czech Republic.
