The Milwaukee Brewers advanced to the World Series for the first time since 1982 after sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. In the decisive fourth game, Milwaukee overcame an early 4-0 deficit to win 6-4, fueled by home runs from Jake Bauers, Garrett Mitchell, and David Hamilton.

Following this victory, the Brewers moved into the World Series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Venezuelan outfielder Luis Lara, a breakout 21-year-old prospect, has played a key role in the postseason, including a decisive RBI single during the series against the Dodgers. As of late October, the Brewers hold a 1-0 lead in the World Series.
