On the field, Brice Turang was named the team’s MVP for the second consecutive season, setting a franchise record with 100 RBIs. Pitcher Jacob Misiorowski was named Most Valuable Pitcher and is a finalist for the National League Cy Young Award after leading the majors in ERA, WHIP, and strikeouts. Other team honors included Top Newcomer for Cooper Pratt and Unsung Hero for Abner Uribe. Regarding contract management, the Brewers exercised a $15.5 million club option for catcher William Contreras, securing the World Series MVP for the 2027 season. Pitcher Dustin May declined a $20 million mutual option for 2027, opting instead for a $500,000 buyout and entering free agency. The team also declined a $14 million option for pitcher Antonio Senzatela and a mutual option for catcher Gary Sánchez. Additionally, the Brewers tendered a $23 million qualifying offer to Jake Bauers, though some analysts suggest he may decline to seek a multi-year deal on the open market. ## Timeline ### 2026-11-02: Milwaukee Brewers celebrate World Series win and manage roster changes The World Series champion Milwaukee Brewers celebrate individual awards for Brice Turang and Jacob Misiorowski while navigating offseason roster decisions involving Jake Bauers and Antonio Senzatela. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/milwaukee-brewers-exercise-william-contreras-club-option ### 2026-10-29: Dustin May declines $20 million mutual option with Brewers Dustin May will enter free agency after declining a $20 million mutual option with the Milwaukee Brewers following their 2026 World Series title. 7 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/dustin-may-declines-20-million-mutual-option-with-brewers --- Cite as: Milwaukee Brewers roster changes.
