The Japanese mobile service mineo, operated by Optage, has implemented several promotional and administrative changes.

In mid-September, the provider launched its ‘Autumn Pittari Wari’ campaign, which offers discounted monthly fees for up to six months for new users signing up for ‘My Pita’ dual-type voice SIM plans. This campaign includes various data tiers ranging from 3GB to 50GB at reduced rates, along with free services such as the ‘Packet Hodai 3Mbps’ and the ‘10-minute Call Pack’ for specific plans.

Following this, in October, mineo announced the elimination of administrative fees for eSIM reissuance. This policy change distinguishes the provider from many other mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) in Japan that typically charge fees for such services.
