Globally, BMW reported that orders for the MINI Paul Smith Edition gasoline models exceeded 1,000 units prior to its official debut. The collaboration with the British fashion brand features design elements like the ‘Signature Stripe’ and colorful stitching. To celebrate the launch, an exhibition and collaboration cafe event was scheduled to take place at Hankyu Men’s Tokyo from October 21 to October 27.

The fifth collaborative project between MINI and designer Paul Smith, the MINI Paul Smith Edition, is based on the fourth-generation MINI Cooper. Embodying the designer’s ‘Classic with a Twist’ philosophy, the model features multi-colored stripes on the roof and steering wheel, alongside bespoke colors such as Inspired White and Statement Grey. Design accents include Nottingham Green on mirror caps and grille frames, while the interior incorporates the Paul Smith rabbit logo on seats, floor mats, and wheel caps. Personalized details include ‘Hello!’ puddle lights and door sills inscribed with ‘Every day is a new beginning.’

The edition is offered in three-door, five-door, and convertible configurations. Engine options include the Cooper C with a 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo and the Cooper S with a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo, both utilizing a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
