The 14th edition of the Miss Grand International beauty pageant commenced in Thailand on September 18, 2026, after being relocated from India. The competition is scheduled to conclude with a grand finale on October 10.

Participants have begun various segments, including talent auditions and cultural displays. Contestants such as Haiti’s Estephanie Charles have used the platform to advocate for a theme of ‘Stop the War and Violence’. Other participants, including Vietnam’s Emoura Phạm, have utilized the event to promote national heritage through traditional attire.

During the opening ceremony and press conference on September 23, Emoura Phạm gained significant attention after experiencing a near-fall while catwalking. She was praised by viewers for her professionalism after maintaining her composure and adjusting her crown to continue her performance. 

Pham has also secured early competition achievements, placing in the Top 10 Pre-Arrival voting and winning the Grand Day Experience category, where she was the sole Asian representative in the Top 10. As the winner of this category, she is scheduled to visit the Miss Grand International headquarters and attend a tea party on September 28.

The pageant, founded by Nawat Itsaragrisil, maintains a core mission of “ending violence and bringing peace to the world.”
