The Miss Vietnam Student 2026 competition has introduced a new format, featuring a four-episode ‘Master Class’ series produced and hosted by Dược Sĩ Tiến. The production utilizes heavy visual effects, including themes of magic and time travel. During the broadcast, contestant Minh Nguyệt gained social media attention for her candid reactions to the show’s special effects.

As the competition progresses, contestants have engaged in various cultural and professional development activities. Following travels through Hanoi, Bac Ninh, and Lai Chau, 53 participants stayed in a communal house, introducing themselves with traditional gifts such as a small boat from Ninh Bình and a ‘trâm’ plant from Đồng Tháp. They also visited the ‘Van Gogh Timeless’ multisensory exhibition, a 4,000-square-meter event featuring 165 works by Vincent Van Gogh. Using light, sound, and motion, the exhibition allowed contestants to experience digital projections of masterpieces, with some describing it as ‘stepping directly into the paintings.’

Training has also included diplomatic arts, public poise, and international etiquette led by former Miss Vietnam Top 5 contestant Dao Thi Ha. 

Recently, the 53 contestants arrived at the Dragon Ocean Do Son international tourist area in Hai Phong to begin the intensive semi-final stage. Participants are undergoing rigorous training in runway modeling, physical fitness, communication, etiquette, vocals, and teamwork. Organizers are evaluating progress, adaptability, and character alongside physical appearance. Additionally, a public voting period for the ‘And You Deserve It’ category opened on September 10, allowing audiences to vote for a contestant to earn a direct spot in the final round.
