In the Cerkno municipality of Slovenia, a search operation successfully located a man nearly 90 years old on September 30. The individual had been reported missing the previous day.

Police, firefighters, and rescue dog handlers found the man in poor health on a steep, difficult-to-access slope near the Straža settlement. After receiving first aid from local firefighters, the Slovenian Army utilized a helicopter to transport him to the University Medical Centre Ljubljana due to his critical condition. Authorities credited the successful recovery to rapid coordination between rescue services and medical personnel.
