Major League Baseball organizations are beginning to manage roster transitions and personnel evaluations ahead of the 2027 season.

Early projections focus on bullpen compositions and pitching prospects, such as the Baltimore Orioles’ potential return of Felix Bautista to a closer role and the development of prospects like River Ryan and JR Ritchie.

As teams prepare for the upcoming year, decision-making has shifted toward contract arbitrations, such as the Pittsburgh Pirates’ evaluation of catcher Endy Rodríguez, and organizational restructuring. For example, the Colorado Rockies are expected to address roster construction and potential positional shifts, including moving Charlie Condon to designated hitter.
