Gisele Shaw, the inaugural MLP Women’s Canadian Champion, vacated her title after signing an exclusive contract with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). While Shaw was reportedly expected to hold the championship until October, her new agreement with the NWA prohibited her from appearing on television for other promotions.

During the September 17, 2026, episode of MLP Mayhem, Priscilla Kelly (also known as Gigi Dolin) defeated Shaw to become the new champion. Kelly secured the victory by countering Shaw’s ‘Shining Wizard’ with a forearm strike. Kelly is scheduled for her first title defense against Nikki Storm on October 3 at the MLP Northern Rising event in Toronto.
