Moderna and Merck reported positive interim results from a Phase 3 clinical trial for Intismeran autogene, an experimental personalized mRNA cancer vaccine. The therapy, administered alongside Merck’s immunotherapy Keytruda, was tested on 1,137 patients with high-risk or advanced melanoma. 

The INTerpath-001 study met its primary endpoint by demonstrating a statistically significant improvement in recurrence-free survival compared to Keytruda alone, and met a secondary endpoint by reducing the risk of distant metastasis. Following the announcement of the trial success, Moderna’s stock experienced a significant increase.
