Diplomatic appointments have been made by both the United States and Moldova to fill various international posts.

The United States Senate confirmed Joseph Burkhalter as the new U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova. Nominated by President Donald Trump, Burkhalter succeeds Kent D. Logsdon, with the embassy previously managed by Chargé d'Affaires Nick Pietrowicz.

Concurrently, the Moldovan government approved appointments for its own representatives abroad. Sergiu Gurduza, formerly the Consul General in Istanbul, was appointed as the Ambassador to Portugal. Following this move, Vladimir Sacagiu was named the new Consul General of Moldova in Istanbul.
