In Missoula, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has proposed a project to stabilize the streambank at the Kona Bridge Fishing Access Site on the Clark Fork River. The project aims to address bank stability and heavy usage at the 2.75-acre site, which contains a boat ramp, paved road, and parking area. The proposal is undergoing environmental review under the Montana Environmental Policy Act.

In the Bitterroot Valley, the Woodside Bridge on Secondary Highway 373 will undergo periodic closures to allow for drilling and soil and groundwater investigations. These studies are part of the design process for a bridge replacement expected to begin in 2029. During scheduled closures, vehicle access to the Woodside Bridge Fishing Access Site will be prohibited, though pedestrian access via walking paths may remain available.
