At the EU-Montenegro Investment Conference (AIM 2026), Montenegro secured several agreements to support its energy transition and infrastructure. Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) signed partnerships with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Pljevlja Coal Mine to develop solar power and battery storage. Additional energy agreements were made with Qair Montenegro for wind and solar projects, France’s Akuo Energy for renewable capacity, and the American firm Mantel Capture to investigate carbon capture technologies.

In the transport sector, the Ministry of Transport signed a memorandum between Monteput and the Spanish company Centunion to work on the Podgorica West Bypass project.
