Shochiku Games and Crossbridge Game Studios are developing a point-and-click adventure game inspired by the works of Tove Jansson. 

Initially announced as ‘Moomin: Midsummer Madness’ with a scheduled autumn 2026 release, the project was later detailed as ‘Moomin: Moominvalley Summer Festival’. The game is set for release on November 12, 2026, and will be available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. 

The narrative follows Moomintroll and Little My through a mysterious theater following a flood in Moominvalley. The title features hand-drawn graphics and gameplay focused on exploration and puzzles. Following the announcement, pre-orders for physical editions on Nintendo consoles were opened, offering various versions including a limited edition containing items such as a postcard book and an embroidered handkerchief.
