Sources: 4. Developments: 2. Moroccan international players are positioning themselves for a return to the national team following strong performances at their respective clubs. Reda Belahyane has become a key figure for Lazio, while Amine Harit is seeking a recall following form with Marseille. Head coach Mohamed Ouahbi is reportedly considering recalling Youssef En-Nesyri for the November international camp as the Atlas Lions prepare for 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Niger. The coach is looking to move away from a ‘false nine’ tactical approach in favor of a conventional center-forward. En-Nesyri, currently playing for Al-Ittihad, has demonstrated strong form this season with seven goals in 13 appearances. Squad selection remains complicated by the uncertain fitness of Soufiane Rahimi, who recently suffered an injury, and the coach’s continued preference to exclude Ayoub El Kaabi. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-24: Morocco national football team considers Youssef En-Nesyri recall Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi may recall striker Youssef En-Nesyri for November's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger to bolster the team's attacking options. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/morocco-coach-considers-youssef-en-nesyri-recall-for-qualifiers ### 2026-10-22: Moroccan football players eye national team return amid strong club performances Moroccan players Reda Belahyane, Amine Harit, and Youssef En-Nesyri are eyeing returns to the national team following standout performances with Lazio, Marseille, and Al-Ittihad. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/moroccan-football-players-eye-national-team-return-amid-strong-club-performances --- Cite as: Morocco national football team squad developments.
