The Movimiento Antorchista underwent a leadership transition in Veracruz, Mexico, where Juventino Navarrete Chilita assumed control of the state organization. This change followed the departure of Samuel Aguirre Ochoa, who stepped down after four decades to serve as president of the National Sports Commission (CODENA).

Following this reorganization, the movement mobilized in Xalapa, conducting a march to demand a meeting with Governor Rocío Nahle García. State leader Juventino Navarrete Xilita stated the group is seeking resolutions for approximately 85 social infrastructure projects involving essential services like water, electricity, and paving across several municipalities. The organization also reported alleged intimidation, noting that several leaders received judicial summons following the announcement of their mobilization.
