Multiplace Mais, an entertainment complex in Meaípe, Guarapari, has announced it will pause its traditional Summer Festival for the 2027 season. This decision ends a streak of 26 consecutive years of operation.

Founder Bruno Lawall attributed the hiatus to several factors: the increasing costs of national artist fees, competition from free government-funded public events, and climate uncertainty regarding heavy rainfall. Lawall stated that the rise of state-funded shows creates an “unequal playing field” for private producers who rely on ticket sales and consumption to recover investments. The company clarified that the pause follows a financial and market feasibility analysis and is not a permanent closure.
