Local and regional governments in Argentina and Spain are implementing various urban development and housing initiatives. In Argentina, efforts have focused on land title regularization through the Provincial Institute of Urban Development and Housing (IPDUV) in Resistencia, Castelli, and General San Martín, alongside municipal service assessments in Trelew. Additionally, the Provincial Housing Institute (IPV) is moving to deliver 80 social housing units in Laguna Blanca using provincial funds following the cessation of national funding.

In Spain, municipal programs include the Albacete City Council’s ‘City Hall in Your Neighborhood’ initiative to increase direct democracy. Furthermore, the municipality of San Fernando is preparing to deliver 81 social rental homes in the Ronda del Estero development, a project supported by a combination of city council and European funds.
