Mayor Norma Fuentes has overseen several municipal infrastructure and urbanization projects in Argentina.

In September 2026, paving works were supervised on Martín Fierro Street in the Barrio Reconquista neighborhood. This project, which utilized municipal personnel and concrete produced at a municipal plant, aimed to improve road connectivity and rainwater drainage.

By early October 2026, the administration inaugurated Plazoleta Uruguay in the América del Sur neighborhood. This 2,600 square meter public space features renovated sidewalks, playground equipment with rubber flooring, gym apparatus, snack stations, and LED lighting. The project is part of a larger urbanization initiative involving the construction of 1,400 linear meters of drainage and the paving of over 26 blocks.

In late October 2026, municipal efforts expanded to the Aguirre Park area with the final stages of the ‘Campeones del 28’ Sports Park. This project includes synthetic grass football pitches, a restored basketball court, new 3x3 basketball courts, a calisthenics area, a bocce court, a 650-meter perimeter fence, and new administrative and sanitary buildings. 

To support these developments, the municipality delivered 450 uniforms to the Parks and Walks Directorate staff to improve working conditions and institutional identification. These maintenance and infrastructure efforts coincide with a city-wide environmental initiative involving the planting of half a million trees this year.
