Musical and cultural activities in Mexico and Spain have transitioned from local public performances to broader institutional and commemorative initiatives.

In late August, public events included free concerts such as La Sonora Dinamita in Naucalpan, Mexico, and the Naval Sonora festival in Navalmoral de la Mata, Spain, which featured various urban and mainstream artists. 

Subsequently, the focus shifted toward cultural administration and heritage preservation. In Spain, the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (CNDM) began a new phase to unify the management of classical music programs. In Mexico, the Secretaría de Cultura and INBAL organized a concert at the Palacio de Bellas Artes titled ‘Música experimental en la mujer de Oaxaca’. This event, featuring Colectivo Tgo and Ensamble CEPROMUSIC, aimed to commemorate International Indigenous Women's Day by highlighting the musical traditions and roles of women violinists within Mixtec, Triqui, and Mixe communities.

Building on these efforts, Colectivo Tgo—a group of female violinists from various Oaxacan communities—is working to safeguard oral musical traditions through the exploration of instrumental techniques and cultural soundscapes. This mission has been supported for a decade by the ‘Automodelo para las músicas de la tradición oral en Oaxaca’ program. Additionally, the Chamber Orchestra of Bellas Artes (OCBA) has launched its 70th anniversary season, running from September 4 to December 13, 2026. The season intends to bridge traditional sounds with new musical proposals through Mexican music, contemporary premieres, and classical repertoire.
