Mykhailo Mudryk, a winger on loan at Tottenham Hotspur from Chelsea, sustained a non-contact ankle injury during training. Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi described the setback as a ‘stupid injury’ that occurred during routine movement.

Medical evaluations confirmed the injury, which is expected to sideline the Ukrainian player for at least seven matches, likely preventing a return to action until after the November international break. The injury occurred shortly after Mudryk’s debut for the club against Nottingham Forest.

The injury has implications for the Ukraine national team, as former manager Myron Markevych noted that the absence of key players due to injury has impacted recent UEFA Nations League performances. Mudryk’s current loan agreement with Tottenham includes an option to make the transfer permanent for £75 million.
