Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) has expanded its physical and academic presence in Lithuania. On August 31, the university officially opened the new Sūduva Academy building in Marijampolė, a four-story facility intended to serve as a hub for students, researchers, and the regional community.

Following this regional expansion, the university announced it will host the Magna Charta Observatory (MCO) annual conference in Vilnius from October 14–16. The international event, titled ‘Beyond Resilience: Universities as Active Value-Driven Agents in a Changing World’, will focus on academic autonomy, political pressure on higher education, and the role of universities in supporting democracy.
