Mykonos BC began its FIBA Europe Cup campaign with a historic first European victory, defeating Azerbaijan’s Neftchi Baku 78-58. Following this, the team secured a second consecutive victory by defeating Swiss club Fribourg Olympic Basket 80-65 in an away game, despite missing key players Manzaris, Kanadi, and Harel.

Mykonos extended its perfect start to a 3-0 record in Group H with an 86-84 victory over Lokomotiv Plovdiv. Jermaine Love led the scoring with 25 points, five assists, and two rebounds. The win was secured in the final seconds by a three-pointer from Vangelis Mantzaris, who had returned to the lineup. The team continues to manage the absence of Roni Harell and Devin Canady.

Despite the third consecutive win, head coach Vangelis Ziagkos expressed dissatisfaction with the team’s execution, describing the performance as a “basketball absurdity” in both offense and defense. The victory over Lokomotiv Plovdiv followed a highly competitive match where the Bulgarian side led at halftime and held several leads in the final quarter. While DeVerl Ramsey led Lokomotiv with 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 12 assists, Mykonos secured the win through a strong late run, supported by Elijah Childs with 14 points and 8 rebounds.
